Galaxy Amongst Us

It had been raining for two straight days. Even though I wasn't worried about the raining coming down all at one time, I was starting to get a little anxious about my plants and the amount of water intake at one time. After the rain subsided, I stepped out into the sun as the cool crisp air chilled my skin. I took a deep sign of relief once I noticed that none of the plants had been damaged. At this point, they seemed pretty happy taking in as much warm sun as they could.

As I walked to check the mail, I noticed several puddles of water along the way- but none of them looked like this one in particular puddle. Now, grant it that it is just oil and water, but it immediately caught my eye because the more I looked at it, the more I realized that we are not in control of most things in life. Not that this was an "ah-ha" moment for me since I've had this thought more than a few times over the past decade now. Like water and oil. It is its own galaxy working together to form its own beauty. Like the rain and like my plants and you and me.

We are all made up of one big galaxy that's apart of thousands of other galaxies. Continuing to flow together in perfect harmony- despite the odds.
